More info

The Barbera d’Asti Bricco dell'Uccellone of Giacomo Bologna takes its name from the surname given to a woman who lived in the house near this cave: she wore always black clothes and for this reason called “l’uselun” (big bird). The wine presents an intense ruby red colour with yellow-crowned nuances and various perfumes that remember cherry, red fruit, vanilla and liquorice. The wine is endowed with a good structure and a good acidity, with a soft taste, so it is perfect if drunk together with flavourful first platters, second courses based on meat, roasts and seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

The history of the cave, situated in Rocchetta Tanaro, has a beginning with the nickname of ‘Braida’, that was attributed to Giuseppe Braida, during the elastic football match, a typical sport of Piedmont. Giacomo Bologna has inherited the nickname and the love for wine and soil from his father. Today Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna manage the cave and they represent the third ‘Braida’ generation: they have transformed the taste of Barbera wine too, by giving to this kind of wine a noble and a quality taste.
