The Verduno Pelaverga of Massara winery is an excellent red wine produced and vinified alone in the district of Verduno. The wine shows a beautiful deep ruby red color with violet reflections; the nose develops a broad and compound bouquet, intense and fruity with notes of red fruit, such as raspberry and wild strawberries, and a slight spicy sensation on the final. Harmonious, fresh and dry in the mouth, the Verduno Pelaverga of Massara winery is perfect to taste in combination with tasty second courses such as tripe or roast, aged cheeses and cold cuts.
Making known the Barolo wine was always a dream of the Burlotto family; from the beginning of 1900’s Andrea Burlotto began to work towards this goal, trying to spread his passion for Barolo wine, which at the time was known in Piedmont and in the North of Italy. In the following years his sons Gian Carlo, Francesco, Giacomo and Sergio continued to work to realize the dream of the family, always valuing the Barolo wine, especially the Cru Massara, located in Verduno. From 2013 the name of the winery became Cascina Massara. The wines produced are a unique expression of the territory: each wine tells the terroir of Verduno, where aromas and flavors make protagonist the different denominations produced.
