Barolo docg Le Coste Riserva Grimaldi Giacomo 2016

The Barolo Le Coste Riserva by Grimaldi Giacomo is produced with selected Nebbiolo grapes grown in the homonymous cru. The malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, followed by aging for 12 months in French barriques (25% new), 24 months in large barrels, 8 months in steel and a further 20 months in bottle. At sight it has a beautiful intense ruby red color with orange reflections. The nose reveals a large and composite bouquet, with hints of fruit in alcohol and jam, on a spicy background. In the mouth it is well structured and endowed with important tannins, warm and soft. Equipped with excellent aging potential, the Barolo Le Coste Riserva by Giacomo Grimaldi is perfect to drink in combination with braised red meats, game and aged cheeses.

The winery Giacomo Grimaldi has been producing wines for three generations in Barolo. After Ernesto and Giacomo, the winery is now led by Ferruccio Grimaldi who has given a decisive impulse to the family business, making it grow step by step. The almost maniacal precision and the attention to the constant improvement of the work in the vineyard, the purchase of vineyards with optimal position and soil, allow the production of exceptional wines such as Barolo "Le Coste".
