The Marchesi Alfieri estate is located in the hilly area of San Martino Alfieri, in the province of Asti. It is a historic Piedmontese winery that has been preserving the traditions and culture of the region for over three centuries. Its origins date back to 1696, when Carlo Emanuele I of Savoy granted the fief of San Martino to Urbano Alfieri. The winery was founded twenty years ago in the Alfieri Castle in San Martino Alfieri. Among the notable figures who lived in this castle and appreciated its wines and lands were the architect Benedetto and, above all, the President of the Senate, Cesare Alfieri. Today, the estate, which consists of 20 hectares of vineyards divided into numerous plots across the slopes of four hills, is managed by the three sisters Emanuela, Giovanna, and Antonella, who have enhanced its historical heritage and restored the castle.
