The Alfiera is a Barbera d’Asti of great character, named after the eponymous vineyard, with historic vines planted in 1937. In the glass, it stands out for its very intense ruby red color with violet reflections; on the nose, it exudes broad and complex aromas of dog rose, ripe cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and cocoa. This wine boasts great structure and softness, with a bold flavor and assured longevity. The Barbera d'Asti Superiore Alfiera by Marchesi Alfieri pairs perfectly with flavorful first courses, meat dishes, roasts, and medium to long-aged cheeses.
