Sancerre Le Rochoy Laporte 2015

The Sancerre Le Rochoy of Maison Laporte is an excellent white wine, made with Sauvignon grapes farmed with organic methods. It has an excellent straw yellow color and wide and suggestive mineral notes on a fruity background.  In mouth, it is fresh and sapid with a well-balanced acidity and a long and lightly mineral final. It is the ideal wine to drink fresh as an aperitif or in combination with first dishes made with fish, like the “mugnaia style” perch, crustaceans, seafood and goat cheeses.

Bourgeois family founded the Laporte Demaine in the Bannay village, in France in the 1850’s. It has 20 hectares of vineyards on a hill that divides calcareous lands on one side and Silex lands on the other side. Strenght point of the winery is the Domainde du Rochoy: 10 hectares all farmed in Silex territory, which is in an area famous since the ancient Romans.
