More info

The Barolo by Cantina Moscone is a red wine of great prestige and tradition, produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated with care and dedication in vineyards within the prestigious Cru Bussia in Monforte d'Alba. It matures for 24 months in large oak barrels of 50 hL, before spending at least 12 months in steel tanks before bottling. Visually, it stands out for its beautiful garnet red color tending towards orange with aging. On the nose, it offers an intense and enveloping bouquet, dominated by fruity notes of red jam, plum, and currant, accompanied by floral hints of withered rose and violet. More complex nuances of spices, licorice, and undergrowth add depth. In the mouth, it is vigorous and structured, with well-integrated and silky tannins. The alcohol content is well-balanced by a pleasant freshness. Its taste is full and persistent, with a perfect harmony between power and elegance. Endowed with great aging potential, the Barolo by Cantina Moscone is perfect for accompanying rich and structured courses such as braised meats, game, aged cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own on special occasions

Manufacturer

The Moscone Winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the enchanting Barolo region, and represents an authentic reality founded on respect for tradition and the territory. Here, among the prestigious vineyards of Bussia, Sara Moscone and her cousin Marco passionately carry on a family heritage passed down through generations. The estate spans 18 hectares, carefully and attentively managed, some of which require manual care. Sara Moscone, through an unbreakable bond with the three generations that preceded her – from great-grandfather Giacinto who founded the company, to grandfather Angelo who selected the best positions for the vineyards, to Sara's father, Livio, alongside his brothers Giacinto and Mariano – continues to look to the future, keeping alive the pride and passion for traditional winemaking in the Langhe region.
