No other Italian winery can boast the history, prestige, and vision of Marchesi Frescobaldi. A Florentine family dedicated to winemaking for thirty generations and over 700 years, with the constant goal of being the most prestigious Tuscan producer. The company’s first wine production dates back to 1300 at the Castiglioni Estate in Val di Pesa, Florence. From the beginning, the Marchesi di Frescobaldi have been renowned for the quality and uniqueness of their wines, so much so that artists like Donatello were captivated by them. Today, the winery’s producers emphasize respect for the land, investing in the professionalism of their workforce. In 1855, they were the first in Tuscany to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay in the Nipozzano and Pomino estates. With a total vineyard area now approaching one thousand hectares and an annual production of around seven million bottles, from Chianti to Pomino, from Montalcino to Maremma, their deep knowledge of the environment and the uniqueness of the terroirs ensure consistent quality and distinctive character in their wines.
