More info

The Nipozzano Vecchie Viti by Marchesi de Frescobaldi is made with Sangiovese, Malvasia nera, Colorino and Canaiolo grapes. It is a complex and harmonious wine and it’s obtained from the oldest vineyards of Nipozzano Castle. It is aged for two years in large barrels.
Endowed with a beautiful intense ruby red colour, at nose it develops a floral and fruity bouquet, with notes of apricot and plum, on a slightly spicy background.
Balanced and persistent in the mouth, with harmonic tannins it combines perfectly with typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition, cannelloni stuffed with meat and game.

Manufacturer

The first wine’s production of this cave goes back up the year 1300 in the Estate of Castiglioni in Pesa Valley, in Firenze. From the beginning, the Marchesi de Frescobaldi are famous for the quality and the typicalness of their wines, in fact some artists as Donatello were attracted by these wine makers. Today the wine makers of this cave believe in the respect of the territory, by investing in the competence of human resources.
