Mosconi Barolo docg Pio Cesare 2019

The Barolo Mosconi by Pio Cesare is an exceptional red wine produced in very small quantities starting from the 2015 vintage. It is made with selected Nebbiolo grapes grown in the precious Mosconi cru of Monforte d'Alba. The vinification takes place in steel, while the refinement lasts about 30 months in large oak barrels with the exception of a small part which rests in barriques for the first 12 months. Endowed with a beautiful garnet color, in the nose it is striking for its broad and complex bouquet, on which notes of ripe red fruit, undergrowth and spices stand out on the finish. On the palate it is intense and rich, complex and concentrated, with soft tannins. Wine with a long life, the Barolo Mosconi by Pio Cesare is perfect to drink in combination with roasted or braised red meats, game and aged cheeses.

Since 1881 the Pio Cesare’s cave represents the excellent tradition of Piedmont. It is the story of a family that safeguards the style of a Barolo, today very famous in the world, and also exported in more than 40 countries, with the same label that Pio Cesare wanted. Even now we follow the classical interpretation of the Barolo, that is engage our existence in creating wines that are able to exalt the territory.
