Barolo docg Pio Cesare 2019

The Barolo by Pio Cesare is a classic Barolo wine produced both with Nebbiolo grapes, deriving from vineyards collocated in Serralunga d’Alba, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra, Novello e Monforte d'Alba. The union of grapes deriving from different soils is an ancient way of production that permits to concentrate in an only wine the best characteristics of the Barolo’s territories. The wine owns a ruby red colour, almost pomegranate-colored, while its smell reveals a complex and various bouquet with some floral scents of rose, violet, blueberries, mature red fruit, cherry, cloves and licorice. Furthermore, this Barolo wine owns body and elegance, besides a good structure and balance, in addition to important tannins that make it harsh. Thanks to these peculiarities, the Barolo by Pio Cesare is perfect to drink  in combination with braised or roasted red meats, agnolotti pasta with ragù and seasoned cheeses.

Since 1881 the Pio Cesare’s cave represents the excellent tradition of Piedmont. It is the story of a family that safeguards the style of a Barolo, today very famous in the world, and also exported in more than 40 countries, with the same label that Pio Cesare wanted.
