The Blanc de Blanc of Delamotte is a great Champagne made only with Chardonnay grapes farmed in the renowned region of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in France. It appears with a characteristic straw yellow colour and a persistent and fine perlage, while at nose it release wide notes of freshness and minerality in addition to fruited hints of citrus and scents of white flowers. With its taste wide and dry, typically mineral, it is perfect to drink chilled as an aperitif or in combination with first fish dishes, stewed white meats, shrimps tartare, risotto with seafood and not seasoned cheeses.
Francois Delamotte founded the Delamotte Maison in Reims in 1769. It is the fifth Champagne producer in order of seniority. At the end of 18th century, the maison bought a new building in Le Mesnil-Sur-oge with the purpose of to stay as near as possible to the Chardonnay grapes suppliers. The renowned oenologist Alain Terrier, arrives in the demain in 1975 and he stopped the vinification in wood and started vinification in steel; it was convinced that the wine should not be influenced by external aromas. Nowadays, the company's philosophy is to combine innovation and tradition, in order to create great wines that are "at the service of pleasure".
