Langhe Nebbiolo doc Montegrilli Elvio Cogno 2020

 The Langhe Nebbiolo Montegrilli of Elvio Cogno is product with grapes deriving  from Ravera vineyard (one of the most famous vineyard in Novello, in the eartrh of Barolo wine production area). It has a good structure and great balance; to differentiate the Montegrilli from the Barolo wine, the producer choose to make this wine without ageing in wood. The Nebbiolo Montegrilli  has a ruby red colour; the aromas are harmonic and equilibrate with currant, blackberry and vanilla notes. It has a good body and personality; its taste is really fresh with elegant and soft tannins. It is perfect if drunk with roast meats, gravy agnolotti, grilly or roast red meat and aging cheese.

The Elvio Cogno winery was founded thanks to the dream of Elvio who, in Novello, wanted to start the production of the best wines that his land could offer him. The first step took place in 1961 with the production of the Barolo wine, which in less than twenty years conquered the international market. Today Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore continue the work of the founder Elvio with an eye to sustainability and technological innovation.
