The “Campo Ai Sassi Marchesi di Frescobaldi” is obtained from Sangiovese grapes and it is a young version of “Brunello di Montalcino”.
Of a ruby red tending to purple color, it emanates a complex and fruity bouquet, with notes of small red fruits and flowers.
Endowed with a balanced structure, it has a long and persistent final, with a pleasant fruity aftertaste.
It is perfect if drunk in combination with homemade pasta, red meat and game.
The first wine’s production of this cave goes back up the year 1300 in the Estate of Castiglioni in Pesa Valley, in Firenze. From the beginning, the Marchesi de Frescobaldi are famous for the quality and the typicalness of their wines, in fact some artists as Donatello were attracted by these wine makers. Today the wine makers of this cave believe in the respect of the territory, by investing in the competence of human resources.
