The Gonet Médeville winery was born from the union of Julie Médeville, a Bordeaux producer, and Xavier Gonet, the son of a winemaking family from Mesnil-sur-Oger. The estate spans 12 hectares divided among three Grand Cru villages—Les Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, and Ambonnay—and three additional villages all classified as 1er Cru: Bisseuil, Mareuil-sur-Ay, and Trépail. The vineyards benefit from ideal exposures in the best “lieu-dits” of the appellation, producing high-quality grapes that give rise to the estate’s Champagnes, all marked by pronounced minerality, elegance, and finesse. Nowaday, Julie and Xavier form one of the most respected couples in the wine world, actively managing and producing exceptional Champagnes, Sauternes, and prestigious Bordeaux crus. Through perseverance, expertise, and consistency, Gonet-Médeville wines are recognized and appreciated worldwide—particularly the Sauternes, which are never released to the market before 20 years from the harvest.
