The distillery Lecompte was founded in 1923 by the merchant Alexandre Lecompte and is considered the oldest and most traditional maison of Calvados. The company Le compte is now located in the Pays d'Auge area, in Normandy. Considered one of the best distilleries of Normandy, it produces Calvados of absolute quality from excellent apples grown in the orchards surrounding the distillery. The Calvados Lecompte age in wood for a minimum period of 2 years up to several decades.
