DARIO COOS
The Dario Coos winery is one of the finest gems of the province of Udine and of the Ramandolo passito area. Located in the small village of Nimis, at the far end of the Colli Orientali del Friuli and just a stone’s throw from Slovenia, this small estate is deeply rooted in its land and produces wines of refined elegance. Its origins date back to the 19th century, when the Coos family made wine on the hills of Ramandolo. The vineyards climb steep terraced slopes, a typical feature of the area, and on these hills the traditional grape varieties of the region are grown: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Picolit, and Refosco. Vineyard work is carried out with care and precision, with special attention to the land and the environment. The winery produces distinctive wines of exceptional quality and character, which, starting from top-quality grapes, embody the estate’s philosophy—a balance between innovation and respect for tradition.
