The origins of the Tornatore winery date back to 1865, when Giuseppe Tornatore, great-grandfather of the current owner, started farming and began producing wine. The Tornatore winery is located on the northern side of Etna, on a soil of volcanic origin ideal for the production of wines of the highest quality. The Tornatore family has deep roots linked to the territory and a strong respect for traditions; it controls a company that owns 60 hectares of land in the Agro di Castiglione di Sicilia and directly owns more 40 hectares. The land is cultivated for about 46 hectares of vineyards, 8 hectares of olive trees and 5 hectares of hazelnut trees; today the Tornatore company owns the largest vineyard within the Etna doc production area and its wines stand out for their excellent quality / price ratio.
