Established in 1890 and located in Rilly La Montagne, in the north side of Montagne de Reims, Vilmart&Cie winery is now a famous producer of Champagne. The Maison owns 11 hectares, mainly Chardonnay and all Premier Crus, despite the region is famous for Pinot Noir production. The winery was awarded with the Ampelos Chart certifying a green and respectful agriculture. The yearly production is about 100 hundred thousand bottles and the company is run by Laurent Champs. He works following the green approach, along with a traditional vinification method. The fermentation and the refinement are made in wood, malolactic fermentation is absent and the natural wine freshness is carefully preserved. Vilmart Champagne is distributed in Italy by Cotarella.
