The Anna Maria Abbona winery originates from a simple family farmers of Langhe; it began to grow from the sixties thanks to Anna Maria’s father, Giuseppe Abbona. The Piedmontese habit wanted that the first son of the family inheritsland; this is why Annamaria began her career away from the winery and then reconnected to prevent her father sold the vineyards following the 1986 methanol scandal. Since then, Anna Maria Abbona produces high quality wines using modern technologies, always keeping the attention to tradition. In the vineyard, great attention is paid to the conservation of the natural ecosystem, minimizing the use of chemicals and replacing them with natural cultivation techniques, manure and organic fertilizers
