The construction of the Gosset winery dates back to 1584 in Ay, when Pierre Gosset decided to start producing wine. Today, this small town is renowned worldwide for the quality of its vineyards, almost all classified 100% Grand Cru. For 14 generations, this Maison remained a family-run winery, until it was sold to the Cointreau family in 1994. The Champagne produced here has always been the result of careful grape selection and, above all, the patient elaboration of the wine in the bottle. The winery is currently located in Épernay, within the Trouillard Palace, a splendid early 20th-century building, featuring approximately 5 kilometers of underground cellars dug into the chalky ground, reaching depths of up to 20 meters. The cool, stable climate throughout the year, combined with a constant humidity around 80%, allows the perfect aging of about 2 million bottles of Champagne produced annually.
