Barolo docg Giovanni Rosso 2016

The Barolo of Giovanni Rosso winery is a noble and elegant red wine, with a classic style produced with Nebbiolo grapes grown on the hills of Serralunga, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto. This Barolo shows a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is floral and fruity, with notes of red fruit under spirit, violet and underbrush. The taste is warm and wrapping, energetic, complex and elegant, characterized by a pleasantly tannic final. The Barolo of Giovanni Rosso is perfect to drink in combination with traditional Piedmontese main courses, such as roast and braised meats or with the classic tajarin with meat sauce.

In 80s years, Giovanni Rosso renovated a part of his familiar vineyards, by introducing modern procedures able to produce only high quality wines. The cave, situated in Serralunga d’Alba, is managed by Giovanni Rosso’s son, Davide, who wants to reach an excellent quality both in vineyards and in the cave. The wines that Davide produces are vigorous, but not aggressive, and they exalt a fascinating taste and at the same time pleasant-tasting. According to Davide, the wine must reflect its soil, by exalting the qualities.
