Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi doc Le Piane 2022

The Nebbiolo by Le Piane is a pleasant and ready-to-drink wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the Novara hills. After an aging of about 9 months in steel, it shows a beautiful intense ruby ​​red color in the glass. On the nose it has an intense and fruity bouquet, with notes of blackberries, blueberries and cherry jam, in addition to hints of licorice and tobacco. On the palate it is fresh and very balanced, characterized by soft tannins and long persistence. Fresh and mineral wine, the Nebbiolo by Le Piane  is perfect to drink in combination with red meats and aged cheeses.

The winery Le Piane, previously owned by Antonio Cerri, now is managed by Christoph Kuenzli and it includes 9 hectares of vineyards on the hills of Novara, inside the new DOC Boca. The wines that Le Piane produced are an expression of a terrain of volcanic origin and are the result of a careful selection of grapes in the vineyards, most of which are still cultivated with the traditional system called ”Maggiorina”. Christoph Kuenzli has the merit for having made known the Boca’s wines all over the world and for having relaunched a wine territory that was destined to disappear.
