ENRICO SERAFINO
The history of the Revello family began in 1945, in the immediate post-war period, with Giovanni Revello, Caterina Tezzo, and their children Ercole, Maria, and Giacomo Revello in the Annunziata district of La Morra. In 1954, still in La Morra, the Revello family became the owners of a farmhouse belonging to the Parish of San Martino. The philosophy behind Fratelli Revello wines is based on the belief that great wine comes from great vineyards. For this reason, they personally care for their vineyards with constant respect for nature. It was only in 1967 that the family began producing and selling high-quality wine. Since 1987, management has passed to Carlo and Lorenzo, who, starting in 1992 and following the guidance of Elio Altare, began to interpret Barolo in a modern style. For many years, the Revello family has adopted sustainable farming practices, performing few and targeted treatments with sulfur and copper while completely abandoning the use of herbicides and chemical insecticides. The winemaking approach is modern: controlled-temperature maceration with indigenous yeasts, alcoholic fermentation in vertical steel tanks, malolactic fermentation, and aging in French oak barriques.
