The Saracco Moscato d'Asti is an aromatic wine characterized by an intense aroma of orange blossoms, peach, and thyme (mainly primary aromas, those already present in the grape). Visually, it stands out for its beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections and its fine perlage, indicating slow fermentation and a gentle effervescence. On the palate, it is intense, elegant, and persistent. The sweet sensations are well balanced by pleasant acidity and the fruity aromas typical of Moscato grapes. Saracco Moscato d'Asti is perfect to enjoy with dry pastries, cakes, fruit tarts, ice creams, and biscuits. Additionally, the grape from which it originates is indigenous because it was born, cultivated, and spread only in these hills between Langhe and Monferrato.
Saracco’s winery is situated in Castiglione Tinella, a locality halfway between the Langhe hills and the Monferrato area. The cave was found by Luigi Saracco at the beginning of 1900; later Luigi’s son, Giovanni, enter this estate in 1951 and he buys more and more territories, up to 20 hectares of vineyards. In 1986 Paolo, Giovanni’s son, joins the family’s cave and decides to modernize it, but above all he establishes to sell the wine in bottles. Today the property counts 46 hectares of vineyards and it is become a full stop for who is passionate of Moscato wine.
