Barbera D'Alba 2020 by Castello di Verduno winery is made with 100% Barbera grapes. This exceptional Barbera shows a beautiful intense ruby red color; the nose develops an intense and fresh bouquet with spicy scents, red fruits and flowers. Well structured with an excellent freshness, Barbera d'Alba is perfect in combination with roasted or braised meats, first courses with ragout sauce and seasoned cheese.

The history of the the Castello di Verduno winery has its roots in the 1838, the year in which Re Carlo Alberto of Savoia purchased the Castle. He entrusted the management to General Staglieno, who was a military man and an expert enologist: he obtained a great wine from the best vineyards of Nebbiolo, the Barolo of Castello di Verduno. At the beginning of 1900’s the Burlotto family became the owner of the Castle and pursued the tradition in the wine making of Savoia. Nowadays Gabriella, Elisa and Liliana Burlotto manage the property producing great red wines, obtained by the wonderful combination of tradition, natural approach and great competence.
