More info

Barolo Riserva Monvigliero by Castello di Verduno is an elegant and intense red wine made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes coming from the namesake hil, characterised by a great sun exposure. In the glass it is ruby red with bright shades. The bouquet is fresh and fruity, with hints of berries, jam, sweet spices and a light wood scent. The sip is elegant, pleasantly tannic, full-bodied. The aftertaste is long and persistent. Barolo Riserva Monvigliero by Castello di Verduno is recommended with main courses such as roasts, stuffed meat, game or matured cheese.

Manufacturer

The history of the the Castello di Verduno winery has its roots in the 1838, the year in which Re Carlo Alberto of Savoia purchased the Castle. He entrusted the management to General Staglieno, who was a military man and an expert enologist: he obtained a great wine from the best vineyards of Nebbiolo, the Barolo of Castello di Verduno. At the beginning of 1900’s the Burlotto family became the owner of the Castle and pursued the tradition in the wine making of Savoia. Nowadays Gabriella, Elisa and Liliana Burlotto manage the property producing great red wines, obtained by the wonderful combination of tradition, natural approach and great competence.
