Villa Scolca Gavi docg 2022

The Gavi by Villa Scolca is produced with 100% Cortese grapes harvested in the 15-20 years old vineyard of the winery. This elegant wine owns a light straw-yellow colour with green reflexes, while its perfume is soft and harmonic, floreal and fruity with scents of yellow apple, acacia flowers and honey. Harmonic and strong, it has a good acidity balanced with its softness. With a long and persistent aftertaste, it is perfect as appetizer or tasted during the meal.

Tenuta La Scolca is managed by Chiara Soldati, the Giorgio Soldati's daughter. The history of the La Scolca Estate dates back to 1919 when Giorgio's great-grandfather decided to buy it though woods half covered it and half was used to cultivate wheat. He had the intuition to plant Cortese vineyards. With a vineyard area of around 50 hectares, today La Scolca represents one of the oldest and most renowned estates in the Gavi area. The main objective of the Soldati family is to maintain the fame and quality that distinguishes them. Work in the vineyard is extremely meticulous and with low environmental impact, while in the cellar all the best techniques are used to enhance and preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the grapes coming from different vineyards.
