More info

The Pinot Noir Bathenau Vigna S. Urbano by Hoftatter is the delicious result of the cultivation of the noble French vine in one of the most prestigious Cru of Alto Adige, the Cru Barthenau in Mazon in the province of Bolzano, where the vineyards are over 55 years old. The grapes are rigorously hand-picked in small crates to try to keep the berries intact. After an aging of about 12 months in small wooden barrels and further 12 months in large barrels, an intriguing and concentrated wine is obtained, starting from its intense ruby red colour. In the glass it gradually reveals an elegant and composite bouquet, with typical aromas of the vine and fruity hints of black cherry and raspberry, enriched by notes of fine spices on the finish. On the palate it is well balanced and it has a good structure supported by elegant and fine tannins. A wine characterized by an exceptional aromatic concentration and with great aging potential, the Pinot Noir Bathenau Vigna S. Urbano by Hoftatter is perfect to drink in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
