The Sauvingnon Vigna Oberkersch¬baum by Hofstätter is produced with selected grapes from one of the most famous crus for the production of great South Tyrolean whites. Here Sauvignon Blanc, thanks to the altitude between 750 and 800 m above sea level, the particular microclimate and the southern exposure of the vineyards, reaches its maximum expression giving us an extraordinarily elegant and complex wine. With a beautiful intense straw yellow color with greenish nuances, in the nose it develops a rich and composite bouquet with notes of citrus, grapefruit and bergamot, in addition to typical vegetable and mineral hints of flint and wild herbs. On the palate it is savory and mineral, pleasantly savory, complex and balanced. A wine with a long and persistent finish, the Sauvingnon Vigna Oberkersch-baum by Hofstätter is perfect to drink in combination with shellfish, seafood, stewed fish and spicy dishes.
The Hofstätter estate is a beautiful winery located in the village of Termeno in Alto Adige, whose vineyards extend on both sides of the Adige valley. Martin Foradori Hofstätter manages the estate since 1992: together with his wife he is carrying on an era of modernization and expansion, leaving his signature on architectural choices and expanding the family properties by acquiring various estates. For five generations the Hoftatter family has been dedicated to the production of quality wines with passion and meticulousness, trying to combine innovation and tradition, respect for nature and to enhance the organoleptic characteristics of each vine. The winemaking procedures give life to unique, refined and balanced wines. The Hofstätter Estate is today one of the largest family-run wineries in Alto Adige region, with his three sons ready to write the future of the company.
