Gewürztraminer Kolbenhof by Hofstätter is one of Alto Adige’s most distinguished expressions of this captivating aromatic grape variety. The grapes are sourced from carefully selected, well-ventilated vineyards with light, marl-rich soils, perfectly suited to enhance the wine’s elegance and aromatic complexity. In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow color with golden highlights. The nose is rich and expressive, opening with fragrant notes of wild rose, followed by hints of nutmeg, clove, and subtle exotic spices. On the palate, it is rounded and enveloping, with a well-defined structure and beautifully balanced acidity, offering a harmonious and refreshing tasting experience. The finish is long and refined, echoing the wine’s floral and spicy aromatics. Excellent served chilled as an aperitif, Gewürztraminer Kolbenhof by Hofstätter also pairs wonderfully with shellfish, foie gras, blue cheeses, and spiced dishes from Asian or Middle Eastern cuisines.
