More info

The Rosso di Montalcino by Biondi-Santi is produced with selected Sangiovese grapes from the youngest vines and from vineyards that produce particularly fruity grapes. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks; aging for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels follows. Very balanced wine that reflects the unmistakable style of Biondi-Santi, in the glass it shows a beautiful intense ruby red color. On the nose the bouquet is floral and fruity, very fresh, characterized by notes of cherry, blood orange, pomegranate, violet and honeysuckle, accompanied by balsamic and mentholated hints. On the palate, it impresses with its structure and freshness, with its fruity character and sapidity. The finish is persistent and characterized by mineral notes. A perfect wine to be enjoyed even at a young age, Biondi Santi's Rosso di Montalcino is perfect to drink in combination with grilled red meats, first courses with meat sauce and medium-aged cheeses.

Manufacturer

The Biondi-Santi company has been known throughout the world as the universal ambassador of Brunello di Montalcino since the end of the 19th century. Clemente Biondi Santi was the first to bottle the red wine produced in his vineyards under the name of Brunello di Montalcino in 1865. Thanks to his work and his intuition about the great qualities of the Montalcino terroir and in particular of the Greppo estate, a great wine among the best in the world was born. The Biondi-Santi il Greppo estate can count on a vineyard area of twenty-six hectares, characterized by terraced vineyards cultivated exclusively in Sangiovese with very low yields per hectare. For 7 generations the Biondi Santi family has ensured the excellence of its wines, producing wines of rare elegance and longevity, which seem to be eternal.
