Description

An outstanding wine by Castello di Neive, this Barbera d'Alba comes from the prestigious Santo Stefano di Perno vineyard, located in the heart of the Langhe region. A cru that combines power and elegance, born from an exceptional terroir and crafted through winemaking that respects tradition. It is aged for several months in large oak casks, then continues its development in the bottle, gaining complexity without losing the varietal’s characteristic freshness. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color with violet highlights. The bouquet is broad and enveloping, with aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and plum, enriched by subtle spicy notes and delicate balsamic hints. On the palate, it is fresh and structured, with lively acidity well balanced by smooth tannins and a long, harmonious finish. Barbera d’Alba Vigna Santo Stefano di Perno by Castello di Neive pairs beautifully with hearty pasta dishes, red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses. It is also an ideal match for traditional Piedmontese cuisine.
