Description

An elegant and intense expression of the Barbera grape, Barbera d’Alba Superiore by Castello di Neive came from carefully selected vineyards in the heart of the Langhe. Following meticulous and precise vinification, the wine is aged in wood, gaining structure, complexity, and a harmonious profile that sets it apart as one of the finest interpretations of the appellation. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red color. The nose reveals an intense and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, cherry, and plum, enriched by spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, smooth, and enveloping, with the vibrant freshness typical of the variety and well-integrated tannins that provide balance and length. Barbera d’Alba Superiore by Castello di Neive is a versatile wine, ideal with rich pasta dishes, red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses. Perfect with tajarin pasta topped with Alba white truffle.
