Description

The Dolcetto d’Alba “Bricco Lago” by Cascina Penna – Currado originates in the vineyards of Monforte d’Alba, in the San Sebastiano area, from vines around 40 years old. After a 5-day cold maceration, vinification takes place with whole-cluster alcoholic fermentation and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Following a short maturation in wood, the wine retains its freshness and best expresses the character of Dolcetto: a fragrant, authentic, and highly drinkable red. With a bright ruby color and violet reflections, this Dolcetto d’Alba offers an intense bouquet of crisp red fruits—cherry, blackberry, and raspberry—enriched by floral violet notes. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and smooth, with fine tannins and an elegant finish that recalls red fruits alongside subtle ethereal and spicy undertones. The Dolcetto d’Alba “Bricco Lago” by Cascina Penna – Currado is perfect paired with ragù pasta, agnolotti, lighter red meats, traditional Piedmontese cured meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
