Fresh and myneral
The Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore Carrà from Cascina Penna–Currado is a full-bodied red wine, produced from Barbera grapes grown in two vineyards located in the San Sebastiano area of Monforte d’Alba, with vines aged 25 and 70 years. Thanks to the altitude, direct exposure to the Alps, low yields, and late ripening, the grapes achieve exceptional quality. It is vinified traditionally and aged for about a year in large wooden barrels. In the glass, it displays a beautiful deep ruby-red color; on the nose, it offers intense aromas of dark berries such as plum and blueberry, enriched by spicy notes and balsamic hints. Characterized by good structure, on the palate it impresses with its mineral freshness that perfectly balances its body, delivering a long and persistent sip with fine, velvety tannins. The Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore Carrà from Cascina Penna–Currado is a wine well-suited for aging, developing increasing complexity and finesse over time. It pairs perfectly with traditional Piedmontese dishes such as brasato al Barolo, agnolotti al plin, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
