The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Priorà by Fratelli Alessandria is a rich and full-bodied wine produced with selected grapes grown in well exposed 35-year-old vineyards in the municipalities of Verduno and Monforte. After aging for over a year in small French oak barrels and French or Slavonian oak barrels, it shows a beautiful, very intense dark ruby red colour. On the nose the bouquet is broad and complex, with floral and fruity notes, in addition to a slightly spicy background. Rich and long-lasting wine, the taste is intense and round, with a pleasant freshness and fine tannins. The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Priorà by Fratelli Alessandria is perfect to drink in combination with stuffed pasta, lasagna with meat sauce and medium-aged cheeses.
