Barbera d'Alba Superiore doc Cà di Pistola Generaj 2018

The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Cà di Pistola by Generaj is a full-bodied and energetic red wine, produced with 100% Barbera grapes grown on the hills around Montà, in the heart of Roero region. At sight it presents a beautiful intense ruby ​​red color with garnet reflections. In the nose it expresses a powerful and intense bouquet, elegant at the same time with notes of plum, cherry and blackberry. The sip is full-bodied, fresh and juicy, with a clear and dry finish, accompanied by fine tannins. The Barbera d'Alba Cà di Pistola by Generaj is perfect for accompanying succulent first courses, roasts and braised meats, and mature cheeses.

This is a family-run-business of small size. The name Generaj is the nickname that was given to this family: it derives from a forefather, who lived in the 800, the ‘Genral’. The philosophy of this winery is expressed on the label’s design, realized by the architect Dante Scaglia: that is compare the history of ‘Generaj’ to the innovation of the bottle as in everyday life. The vineyards are situated in the district of Montà, whose composition is various: from the red sand to the limestone clods, through pebbly area.
