Bricco Genestreto Roero Riserva docg Monchiero Carbone 2013

The Roero Bricco Genestreto of Monchiero Carbone  is a particularly elegant red wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Genestreto cru in Priocca district, in the highest and best exposed to te sunlight part of the estate. After a long aging of 7 years in bottle, the wine shows a beautiful garnet red color and in the nose it develops intense fruity hints of plum that are combined with balsamic nuances of dried flowers and licorice. The taste is enveloping, full-bodied, balanced, harmonious and velvety. The Roero Bricco Genestreto of Monchiero Carbone is perfect to drink in combination with tasty second courses of red meat or long-aged cheeses.

Situated in Canale and in the heart of the Roero area, Monchiero Carbone winery has been founded in 1987. Marco Monchiero, a well-known enologist, and his wife Lucetta Carbone decided to unite the plots of their two families, who began to make wine at the beginning of 1900 and stopped a few years ago. The production of wine restarted in 1990, also because of the son Francesco who began to have enological studies. In the last years, the estate has grown up, thanks to the implantation of new vineyards: one of Arneis grapes on the Renesio hill, in Canale, and another one of nebbiolo grapes in the Anime hamlet. Mombirone and Printi vineyards, which are families propriety from many years, has been doubled.
