More info

The Barbera d’Alba San Pancrazio of Pelassa winery is a very intense and fragrant red wine. Wine with a beautiful ruby red color, in the nose it develops intense and complex aromas, with hints of ripe fruit and vanilla. The taste is complex and round, slightly sapid, with an excellent persistence and an excellent balance. The Barbera d'Alba Superiore San Pancrazio of Pelassa is perfect to drink in combination with egg pasta seasoned with meat sauce, cold cuts and cheeses typical of the Piedmont tradition.

The cave is collocated at the door of Canale, a district in the area of the Roero, on the slopes of the historical and old hill of Cornarea, called in this manner since the year 1000. In the half 70s years, Piero Bovone and Francesca Rapetti decided to plaint again an old and almost dead white vineyard: the Arneis, that was recovered by the living lines in the Nebbiolo’s vineyards. Gian Nicola Bovone and the lawyer Pierfranco Bovone entered this cave and now they wanted to maintain the tradition and the quality of the Cornarea in the production of wines as Roero Arneis, Roero docg and Nebbiolo d’Alba.
