Red wine with a great personality and a wonderful ruby red colour; it presents a fruited and floral bouquet with scents of violets, cherry, currant and mixed berries and bitter almonds. The taste is full, with light tannins and persistence: for this reason it combines perfectly with rabbit, red meats, game, smoked ham, and tasty but medium seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

The Cantina Produttori di Bolzano is a wine cooperative in the province of Bolzano; it was born in 2001 starting from the fusion of two caves: Gries ( which was born in 1908) and Santa Maddalena (which was born in 1930). The cave presents, in the locality of Renon, 320 hectares of vineyards that go from 240 to 800 metres of altitude. The winery produces ambitious wines as the Lagrein, that is obtained by the grapes cultivated on drumlin and hot soils of Gries and S. Maurizio.
