More info

The Teroldego of the Terre del Föhn winery is a red wine produced with Teroldego grapes; it is a vine variety from Bordeaux that has found its ideal habitat in the hills of Trentino and in the Piana Rotaliana for more than a century, so much so as to be considered a native grape variety. The Teroldego of Terre del Föhn shows a beautiful intense ruby red color, while in the nose it is fruity and floral with hints of currant and blackberries. Elegant and fragrant wine, in the mouth it shows a good body and a soft and persistent finish. The Teroldego of Terre del Föhn is perfect to drink in combination with typical courses of Trentino, such as the "Sguazet" or mixed platters of cold cuts and cheeses.

Manufacturer

Terre del Föhn winery,  located in the Lavis area in the north of Trento, has been owned by the Simoni family over 60 years. The company’s aim is to preserve the typicality of each grape variety and to enhance the characteristics of the territory, using cutting-edge techniques in compliance with the tradition of Trentino enology. The wines of Terre di Föhn are very appreciated and known all over the world; they are produced in vineyards located in Val di Cembra, on the hills above Lavis and Trento, in Mezzocorona, Volano and Isera: all areas that are extremely suited for the cultivation of vines. The name of the company comes from the Föhn, the hot and dry wind that blows in these areas allowing excellent temperature ranges between day and night, creating optimal conditions for the production of excellent wines.
