Description

The Roero Arneis docg by Cascina Lanzarotti is a white wine coming from the hills of Roero, in the municipalities of Monteu Roero and Vezza d’Alba, from vineyards located at an altitude of 230–250 metres above sea level. The vines, with an average age of around 20 years, grow on predominantly sandy soils, a characteristic that contributes to the freshness and finesse typical of Roero Arneis. The wine is fermented in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature, with fermentation lasting approximately 10–15 days. It is then aged in stainless steel and completes its maturation with around 2 months of bottle ageing, preserving the grape’s freshness and aromatic character. In the glass, it shows an intense straw-yellow colour. The aromatic profile is fresh and pleasantly fragrant, with floral and fruity notes, including hints of white flowers and tropical fruit. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral and well balanced, with a pleasant saline and mineral character typical of Arneis grown on the sandy soils of Roero. An elegant and approachable Roero Arneis DOCG, ideal for those looking for a fresh, aromatic and versatile Piedmontese white wine that clearly expresses the character of the Roero hills. Thanks to its freshness and minerality, the Roero Arnis docg by Cascina Lanzarotti is an excellent choice for aperitifs and starters, particularly with delicate cured meats, salads and fish-based preparations. It pairs beautifully with fish and shellfish, light fried dishes, carpaccio and tartare, as well as delicate first courses such as vegetable risotto, pasta with seafood and tajarin with light sauces. Its floral and fruity character also makes it a pleasant match for fresh and semi-aged cheeses.
