The “Erbaluce” is a white wine that is cultivated in Caluso, a village in the heart of the Canavese, the area of the Piedmont that extends between the province of Turin and the Valle d'Aosta. The “Erbaluce” comes from the Latin expression "Alba lux" to underline the brightness of its bunch. The “Erbaluce” is grown in hilly soils mainly and it is considered a very versatile grape variety, because thanks to the sweetness and acidity of its bunch it can produce different types of wine, like dry, sparkling and sweet wines. It presents a pale yellow color, its nose is floral and delicate; in the mouth it is dry and fresh. It is a particular and structured wine, considered one of the great white wines of Piedmont.
