RUGE is a small wine estate nestled in the heart of the Valdobbiadene hills, born from the passion of Ruggero and Andrea Ruggeri, descendants of a historic family of winemakers. Perched on the steep slopes of Santo Stefano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, RUGE is a true example of heroic viticulture, where every grape cluster is hand-harvested with deep respect for nature and the rhythms of the land. Its 5 hectares of vineyards stretch across mineral-rich soils, kissed by the sun and caressed by cool mountain breezes, in one of the most prized areas of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG zone. The estate follows a clear, uncompromising philosophy: to craft artisanal wines of the highest quality, capable of expressing the purest identity of Glera and other native varieties such as Verdiso. In the cellar, minimal intervention is key, with slow fermentations, selected or indigenous yeasts, and no forced filtrations—allowing the wine to tell its own story. Each label—from Primario to Ru-Zero, from Cartizze to the naturally refermented “L’Essenziale”—embodies a sensory and aesthetic pursuit that blends finesse, salinity, and authentic expression.
