The Vermentino Aimone of Biovio winery is a white wine with a unique freshness, made with grapes farmed in Albenga with organic methods. On view, it shows a beautiful straw yellow color and greenish nuances, while at nose it gets off wide spicy notes of rosemary, sage and thyme on a background of ripe cedar. Its taste is fresh and dry, with a well-balanced sapidity and a long and persistent final. The Vermentino Aimone by Vio Giobatta is perfect if drunk in combination with traditional Liguria dishes, fish soups, vegetables quiches, seafood and crustaceans.
In the last few years, the winery Biovio, managed by Mr. Giobatta Vio,has made its way into the Italian wine panorama, thanks to its organic and traditional methods of cultivation.
The demaine was founded in the 1980 in the heart of Liguriahinterland.
Its philosophy is to preserve the artisanal methods of making wines and to concentrate its production on Vermentino and Pigato, that are the traditional wines of the Liguria region.
