Muncagota Barbaresco docg Produttori di Barbaresco Riserva 2017

Barbaresco Riserva Muncagota of Produttori del Barbaresco is a typical, elegant red wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from “Muncagota” territory, situated in the district of Barbaresco. Its colour is dark red, with orange shades. The bouquet is really rich of violet, wild rose, oriental spices and licorice. The taste is rich and warm, persistent and intense. Barbaresco Muncagota perfectly matches with red meat, as roasts or braised beef, game, savoury first courses and seasoned cheeses.

In 1800 Giovanni Minuto was the owner of some estates in the locality of Barbaresco: these territories began to be used by Giovanni’s son, Luigi, in order to produce wine. Lorenzo and Mario divided the management of the winery in 1952: in that moment Mario inherited the Moccagatta’s estate, that gives the name to the cave. Today the winery is carried out by Francesco and Sergio, with the help of their sons Stefano and Martina. They work the 15 hectares of vineyards and they manage to produce about 65 000 bottles every year.
