Elegant and refined Barbaresco wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes deriving from selected vineyards situated in the area of Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive: these districts are really favourable for the Barbaresco’s production, above all for the soil and climate. The colour of this wine is the characteristic dark red with wonderful orange nuances, while its bouquet is rich, complex and soft, in addition to some hints of plum, mature cherry and jam, besides spices, cinnamon, green pepper and tobacco. Furthermore, this wine includes an harmonic but balanced taste and so it is excellent in combination with important platters based on red meat, medium seasoned cheeses and game. Eventually, it owns a good capacity of aging.

Michele Chiarlo

The cave was founded by Michele Chiarlo in 1956: staring from the beginning he has started to purchase ample territories in the province of Asti, in order to produce Barbera and Moscato wines. Today Michele Chiarlo is supported by his sons Alberto and Stefano, and together they produce high quality wines, thanks to the modernity of the cave’s techniques. The production of Michele Chiarlo is very huge and it goes from the Barbera d’Asti wine, which has a fresh and balanced taste, to the Barolo wine, that has a more complex taste.
