Ovello Barbaresco docg Carlo Giacosa 2019

The Barbaresco Ovello by Carlo Giacosa is an important and austere red wine, produced only in the best vintages with selected Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Ovello cru in Barbaresco municipality. This Barbaresco has a beautiful intense garnet red color and in the nose it expresses a broad and composite bouquet, with spicy and fruity notes, on which stand out hints of cherry and black cherry. In the mouth it is dry, full, well balanced, with excellent structure abd important tannins. The Barbaresco Ovello by Carlo Giacosa winery is great to drink with friends during an important dinner, combined with tasty main courses based on meat, game and aged cheeses.

The Carlo Giacosa winery is located in Barbaresco, lands of fine wines. The founder was Donato Giacosa, who transformed his passion for grafts into a work. Nowaday Maria Grazia Giacosa is the current owner of the winery, who with the help of his father Carlo Giacosa and his son Luca, leads 5 hectares of vineyards all located around the hills of Barbaresco, from which Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto wines are produced. The winery stands out for its particular attention to the production of quality wines.
