Luce Tenuta Luce Marchesi de Frescobaldi 2020

Luce represents the first wine produced in the Montalcino area by combining Sangiovese grapes with Merlot. The result is an innovative wine that combines the structure and elegance of Sangiovese with the roundness and softness of Merlot. In appearance, it presents itself with a beautiful intense ruby red color, and on the nose, it develops a broad and elegant bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits such as blackberry and mulberry, along with hints of cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious, balanced by excellent acidity and soft, silky tannins. With an elegant and persistent finish, the 2020 Luce by Marchesi Frescobaldi is perfect to pair with roast meats, game, as well as aged cheeses.

Situated at an altitude of 350-420 metres, Tenuta Luce della Vite is the highest winery of Montalcino area. Lamberto Frescobaldi, famous winemaker endowed with passion and talent, continues the project started by the two founder of Tenuta Luce della Vite: to innovate the vineyard, to develop the Tuscan winery with specific methods of wine-making and research programs. This idea was born in 1995 from the dream and the will of two important men of the oenological history: Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Gerald Mondavi.
